For over a decade, Casa de Vaca has been a beloved destination, offering serene comfort amidst the stunning beauty of the quiet mountains. Nestled on 5 wooded acres, surrounded by hundreds of Pinon, Pines and Cedars, this charming 2,600 sq ft home provides a peaceful retreat just minutes from Santa Fe.

  • Casa I features 1 queen-size bedroom, a comfortable sofa bed, full laundry, full bath and a full kitchen. 1,000 sq feet two stories
  • Casa II features 2 queen-size bedrooms, a comfortable sleeping nook, full laundry, 2 full baths, a full kitchen and a sunroom with 2 small sofas. 1,600 sq feet two stories
  • Casa III is the combination of the adjacent Casas I and II
• Convenient: Both Casas enjoy a private entrance and a dedicated workspace.

• Private Oasis: Relax in your private courtyard, Patio with a grill and ample outdoor space.

Nature:

• Immerse Yourself: Surrounded by a 4,000-acre nature preserve, explore miles of hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails. These trails are very well marked and range from easy strolls to more strenuous hikes.  3 miles to a National Forest access trailhead for motorcycle, quads, MTB and horseback riding.   Endless miles of unpaved and well-preserved county roads.  These roads weave through thousands of acres of high-altitude ranch land and pastures for gravel bike riding with an occasional mule deer and Pronghorn antelope sightings.
• Stargazing Haven: Enjoy unparalleled stargazing with minimal light pollution.  Each home has a minimum of 5 acres so it is a very rural area.
• Natural Well Water: The water for our home comes from an underground spring. Our filtering system consists of Triple Ozone system, a three stage (manganese, iron and hydrogen sulfide) iSpring filtration system and a separate charcoal filter at the well. In addition, we have a Reverse Osmosis system in the kitchen for purified drinking water.   We also have bottled water 5-gallon dispensers with Hot and Cold settings.  If you are sensitive to well water we recommend you stay in the city.

• Conveniently Located: Just 3 miles from the Eldorado exit in Santa Fe and a 15-minute drive to the historic Santa Fe Plaza.
• Easy Access: All paved roads. Only 800 feet of gravel road to access our home.
